Can gene therapy ‘turn off’ severe allergies?

Associate Professor Ray Steptoe from the University of Queensland's Diamantina Institute says a new gene therapy treatment could stop allergies in their tracks.

If we can turn off allergies how much more research do we need to do before this treatment can be rolled out into the public. It's been 3 years since this video was uploaded how much futher have we come since then?

Awesome. My daughter loves animals and she breaks out so bad when our cat rubs up against her. She also has some food allergies. The future looks bright. Keep up the hard work.
