B.C. opposition questions lack of alerts, preparedness for flooding

Opposition parties in British Columbia are criticizing the government for what they call its lack of emergency preparedness ahead of the storm and flooding hitting the province. They also question why the Alert Ready system was not used.

Provinces have so much power and they are utterly useless. In any emergency, it seems provinces get a pass with a "*shrug* oh well, we tried". Why is accountability only at the federal level?

We who live in or near coastal or river delta situations MUST prepare for the worst, ALWAYS! Even in the past we've had to deal with hurricanes, massive "SUPER STORMS" like "SANDY" and even Autumn and Winter gales too.
A "personal" preparedness and or evacuation plan is ESSENTIAL!!!
So sorry for the residents of "B.C."!!! Hopefully we down here in "the states" can lend every aid and comfort to you our good neighbors and friends.

Blame game started already. Abbotsford did not want to declare a state of emergency??? What is the response by the mayor??
This proactivity was terrible and now there are livestock locked up on flooded barns and the security won't let them in to bring them out???

We have seen the worst off character of M, Farnworth several administrations ago, now we are reliving to his lack of planning in advising early warnings to the public. There is no cure to stupidity, they just kept on repeating itself. We are just telling the truth no matter how hurtful those revelations are.

Man can not be God BC government did there best as human beings to warn people .So what ever happened next was God's decision, as Human beings let us learn and stop criticising other people.
