NASA iTech-Ignite the Night: Virtual Colorado Springs - Aris MD

Aris MD uses diagnostic images (MRI, CT, X-ray, Ultrasound) to overlay over patients during surgery. The technology gives the surgeon a guided map of their patient’s anatomy and pathology or injury. This innovation shows the surgeon where to cut and–more importantly–where not to cut. With this map, surgeons know precisely where they are going just by looking at their patient. This saves time in the operating room, reduces the patient's time under anesthetic and saves lives.
