During each NASA iTech cycle, our team hosts Ignite the Night events to identify technologies that are addressing challenges on Earth and have the potential to also be a solution for NASA.

We are searching for non-government funded technologies that are addressing the following focus areas: Quantum Sensors; Synthetic Biology; Small Spacecraft Technology; Advancements in Mining; and X-Factor innovations.

From the applications received, 10 presenters are selected and given the opportunity to pitch their ideas to a panel of judges that include NASA’s Center Chief Technologists, local subject matter experts, investors and local leaders. One WINNER will be selected earning a position as one of the 25 semifinalists for the 2021 NASA iTech Cycle I competition and increasing their chance to qualify as a top 10 finalist for the NASA iTech Forum in May 2021.
