My ex-wife had the first two traits, and being married to her was pure hell on earth. She claimed to be Muslim, and constantly called me a Kafir or a Munafiq. She would raise her hand to me. I followed Shariah and by the hadith that said that the best of you are the best to their families. I tried so hard, but she has a violent temper. In the end, I divorced her. I said to her, I married you in accordance with Shariah and tried to live in accordance with Shariah. Now I divorce you by Shariah, upon which her answer was, "I only follow Shariah when it benefits me." she claimed that Shariah says that the secular law is governance. Then she proceeded to take everything from me and leave me in financial ruin.

My advice to the young brothers, marry a revert, one who reverted purely for Allah after much searching. Be careful of sisters who grew up in "cultural" families from Muslim countries that have Dunya goals.
