I prefer the J-200. I'm thinking of mortgaging my home and becoming a heart surgeon so that i can afford one.

There's something kind of perfect about the J-45 it doesn't have the low end but is far superior than the J-200 for sparkling highs. Both have their place but the J-45 was / is a genius design.

I’m in love with a J-45 at a studio in Texas. They have an amazing Dreadnought collection... in this particular video, I’ll say, the J-200 for strumming and the J-45 for finger picking.

Both win! Both excellent instruments, each with their own strengths. They are very expensive but they are cheaper now, given the relative cost of living, then they were in the thirties and forties. Thanks guys!

Thank you for playing the same thing on both. many of YouTube comparison videos they shred a solo on one and play something completely different on the other. How do you make a comparison??? Thanks again

You can't go wrong with either of these, I personally own the j 200,

J45 although lacking the depth of the J-200 is very comfortable guitar to play. Either way there is something about the Gibson sound.

I guess it comes down to style and want but its the j45 for me it's so versatile with the sound and comfort

On capo J200 had that extra power. But in the end of the video, that single strum of G chord shows what J45 truly is. How beautifuly balanced instrument. For me, the best acoustic guitar ever, ever...

They actually compliment each other well as they have two distinctive, and beautiful, sounds. I already own a Guild F-50R (jumbo) so the J-45 (or a Martin 000-18, I can't decide yet) would compliment it nicely.

You should get both! They are both great sounding guitars!!

I have and love both. I play the J-45 more because it's a little more comfortable.

"no reason to stop at 1 you can own both" yeah when you cannot even afford one of these guitars, I would say that is a good reason. I would love to have both of those guitars though

OK, first off, I could listen to this gentleman play all day long! Secondly, what a fantastic comparison video! Thank you.

I love to own a hummingbird or J45 and have been thinking about it for years. Every time I approach them in the shop I remembered the old vintage one they all have that nitro like waves n cracks appearing more than any other brands people tell me it’s mojo but it’s what holding me back. As you can tell on the pic on left I do own quite a few guitars 🎸 👍🏻🙏

I'm saving up for a 200 but my favorite guitar is the j45 I've had 2 45's and they're awesome. I prefer them over martin and Taylor

Both sound great. J45 for me, so I bought a Southern Jumbo.
