How do we know, she wasn't dead already, and someone thrown her into the water.

“Eaten by an alligator” is a misleading statement. It’s just as likely that her body was dumped in that waterway with the hopes that the alligators would dispose of her remains.

Why would that lady reporter be standing so close to Clear Lake where the alligator was? I would not be standing there.

Is she standing with her back to the water? Not very smart.

Oh goodness that's horrible. I'm thinking a murder trying to be covered up by the alligator

It's not rare, Don't you remember when that one lady was eaten by a hugh alligator in Sept 22. Her torso sticking out of its mouth up near Tampa.

How do they know she wasn’t dead before the gator got her? Poor reporting.

Alligator attacks aren't that rare-they kill 1-2 people a year in Florida.

I recall a Florida homeless woman found this way. Under a bridge.

Hello everyone. The women in this video was my aunt robin. She tried to kill herself by drowning and a alligator got to her. Please be respectful and if you know anyone who is struggling please always be by their side and hug them and tell them you love them. Please…. God bless.

I had to go back and review the video to see what ppl were referring to regarding the blouse Jessica was wearing. And yes it is a bad choice. But let’s stay focused on the tragedy folks. My goodness!

I really don't understand the reasoning of euthanizing the gator. The gator is doing what comes natural to its species, which is "you're too close to my area, so I'm going to attack" or "I'm hungry, and there's this edible thing here. I'm going to attack." I think they should have done the autopsy of the woman first to determine when she died and to see if the gator was actually the cause, or if she was killed and dumped. Either way, the gator is doing what comes naturally. If anything, they should have relocated it if it was too close to a neighborhood, housing area, or place frequented by people.

I wonder if the missing college student in Corpus Christi may have met the same fate. His last photo from his cell showed him right by a drainage canal.

Oh, dear. Yikes. I am sorry, for those she left behind. What a terrifying way to leave this world. I am most sorry for the alligator. It was just trying to survive in its native habitat, surrounded by homes and condominiums. Anyone near the canals in that area is insane. I attended UHCL, and the campus is a nature preserve. There are warning signs all over the place.

What was she doing there at the lake? What time did she get there? Need autopsy results. Could be foul play 🤔

I can’t think of a more horrible way to die. That poor woman. I pray for her family as this has to be so difficult for them.

So sad for the family 😢🙏. Some people don’t understand how fast an alligator can run! You can’t outrun it.
