Listen to what the Word of God has to say about men who try to establish their own salvation...

“For they being ignorant of God's righteousness, and going about to establish their own righteousness, have not submitted themselves unto the righteousness of God. For Christ is the end of the law for righteousness to every one that believeth.” —Romans 10:3-4.

Partial faith is not good enough to be saved. You either trust Jesus Christ completely, or you are also trusting in something else too.

Salvation doesn't give us license to sin. W are made right with God through Christ not by any of our own efforts so we cannot lose our salvation if we cave into temptation. God is faithful and just to forgive our sins if we humble ourselves. I've yet to meet a Christian that never sins. The heart of a true Christian should always be one of humility and repentance. Sin doesn't condemn us but it does put a barrier between us and our Father. Like any relationship it takes two people to have a good one.

If u can't apply the scriptures properly, u should not be teaching the word of God. We are not under the law, we are under grace.... therefore we can not earn our salvation it is a gift least any man boast.

Remember on the day of judgement, by your words you will be justified, by your words you will be condemned!

The only thing that will save you is HIS righteousness and not one ounce of your own!!

Even Paul said he doesnt want to be found with any righteousness of his own, the only right standing with God he wants is faith!

And be found in him, not having mine own righteousness, which is of the law, but that which is through the faith of Christ, the righteousness which is of God by faith:

Yes we should perfect holiness in the fear of God, yes we should obey, but that has no bearing on our salvation!

Salvation is my grace through faith, not of what we do or dont do, that would be a work, lest any many boast! Let me say that again, lest you boast, boast of what? That you didnt sin, that you walked perfectly, that you obeyed God, you did all these things, yes that's boasting and confidence in the flesh. The same thing the pharasies did. We are saved by grace through FAITH, not of works, lest ANY man boast.

Yes we should obey the law after we are saved but the law is NOT the means of RIGHTEOUSNESS.

The bible is very clear when it says "As it is written: “None is righteous, no, not one;"- Romans 3:10
*Not a single one of us is righteous, NO ONE, which is why we NEEDED a savior!*

You're right in saying the righteousness of the upright delivers them. The believers righteousness IS Christ.

It's important to harmonize the scriptures and look at what it says all together not in isolated verses and think that's the entirety of the message.
"Jesus, who became to us wisdom from God, righteousness and sanctification and redemption, so that, as it is written, ‘Let the one who boasts, boast in the Lord.’”
1 Corinthians 1:30-31

Even Paul isn’t counting on his own self righteousness which isn’t profitable to god ( Titus 3:8 )


Israel were backsliding at times and god still loved them:

And I will give you pastors according to mine heart, which shall feed you with knowledge and understanding.


What I find interesting about this is he highlights people who are backsliders ( in sin ) still children of him. They committed adultery against him ( verse 8-9 )
