What do you answer if someone asks you, “Are you saved?”. How did you respond? The inspired writings to our church give us some pretty strong warnings against saying, “I am saved.”. “We are never to rest in a satisfied condition, and cease to make advancement, saying, ‘I am saved.’ When this idea is entertained, the motives for watchfulness, for prayer, for earnest endeavor to press onward to higher attainments, cease to exist... – Selected Messages, book 1, page 314. Are you saved today? Do you say, “I hope so,” Or can you comfortably answer, “Yes, I have the assurance of salvation today”? Saying "Will i be saved?" is sort of a self-centered concern! In fact, it is one of the major methods the devil uses to focus our attention on ourselves and to cause us to lose sight of Jesus. We must always live the Christian life one day at a time. If you take the time day by day to make sure of your acceptance of God’s acceptance, the end of your life on this earth will find you among the saved for eternity.

I could not see the real value in tip-toeing around the truth of us being indeed saved (by grace of course).

We can say we are saved without being complacent nor arrogant... knowing very well that our salvation is not of our own doing but of God through Christ and we are forever grateful for this.
