Technically, the DC version is better, but the vibrancy of the ps1 version is more appealing. Besides, I think pixelated textures often look better in old-school 3d games. They create an illusion of additional detail.

Dreamcast: Better overall resolution, high resolution textures, fog, Lara casts a real time shadow that reflects her movement. The colors are awfully washed out though.

The Dreamcast was capable of far more than this. This is just a shoddy Port of the ps1 version I'm sure.

PS1 version has better colors, but Dreamcast version is better overall technically.

Kill me, but I like the PlayStation version more because of the colors.

I understand that PSX colors are eye candy, and, I like that, but for a dusty enclosed ambient during a cloudy day, the DC version makes more sense, and with some extra effects, like dust pairing on the air, and the drops when Lara leaves the water pools, are really a nice touch, and makes the DC version not deserve a thumbs down.

I had both PS1 & Dreamcast 😅 I never thought to play it on the DC, it looks so much better!

the dreamcast version is better overall, but it's a bit dark imo, but i think you can change the gamma and the contrast.

Wow, I didn't know old classics had a remaster! That's the first time I see such a thing... Never seen old lara with realtime shadows - amazing!

1:34 you can see the Lara's shadow in the dc version, in the psx there's no shadow

The graphics in general are much better on Dreamcast, but the colors are a lot better on Playstation.

If you guys still use CRT on your Dreamcast, here's how to make it colorful like the PlayStation. This also works on HDTV's.

01. Go to the menu on your TV.
02. You'll see picture or somethin'
03. If you see COLOR use left to turn.
04. TURN IT UP ALL THE WAY!
05. Your TV and Dreamcast will be colorful as the PlayStation!!!!
