Comparing the 4 versions of Tomb Raider 1.

We all know the new Tomb Raider remaster look great, but how does it stack up to the other 3 versions of TR1?

The recent remaster did such a good job of keeping faithful to the look and charm of the original, while updating it with more detail and higher quality assets like textures. I hope more old games get this sorta treatment.

The 2007 Anniversary has been my favourite Tomb Raider game for a long time. It's amazing how good it looks for a game that's 17 years old! Definitely excited to play the remaster though.

Ooh wow, I love the way Francis Folly looks in the 10th Anniversary Edition. Didn't even know it existed.

Remastered for the win! It’s how you remember it the first time you played it. Love that you can toggle between old and updated graphics for that extra nostalgia feel.

I do like how much simpler the environments are to navigate in the other games compared to Anniversary.

With the remaster since it’s mostly solid shapes you can easily tell where your meant to go.

The original will always be my favorite, but the Recent remasters are also great if a bit too dark at places.

For people saying 10th Anniversary looks bad:
It was a PSP game, the only thing we have is an alpha build partially reworked as an Indiana Jones game once Crystal Dynamics stole the IP.

So of course it looks unfinished, because it is.

Tomb Raider was one of the first two cd's we bought with my brother. The other one was Time Commando.

Anniversary looks the best. I do love the remasters though.

By the way Have you seen the 1st sphinx in TR 1 Unfinished Business? It has an obvious wink. I wonder if they kept that for the remaster in the flooded City Of Khamoon.

Yeah 10th anniversary is blown straight out of the water by the remaster, not gonna lie. Even if it was unfinished to be fair.

The PsP version had a lot of cool ideas on how to rethink the old designs. I wish Eidos would at least let they finish that project.
I like the Crystal Dinamic version too. But its all grey and bland...

Remaster is an excellent looking update to the original and Anniversary STILL looks gorgeous to this day. Shame the latter REALLY dropped the ball on the look of Atlantis, but honestly, that's the only mark I have against it.

10th Anniversary had some interesting things going for it, but what we got was leagues better to be honest.
