I've spent the last two years of my life defending this movie. I see a lot of movies a year, I write reviews on them, and I would consider myself well versed in cinema. Firstly, anybody who says this film is terrible or the worst they've ever seen hasn't seen crap like Dracula Untold.

Les Miserables was made with incomparable skill first of all. Secondly, the performances are great and the singing is on some parts amazing and on other parts still very good. I don't get the complaint against Russel Crowe. His voice suits the character perfectly.

In my opinion, this film is close to a cinematic masterpiece. People often ignorantly complain about musicals, saying that people don't sing in real life. Well you know what, they don't fly and ride around on bat mobiles either, but I don't see you complaining about that. Anyway, if you say this film is crap you don't know what you're talking about or you're trying to look cool. Maybe it's not your cup of tea, that's fine, but if you look at it up objectively it's incredibly skilfully made. 'Nuff said.
