I always feel like cinema sins and screen junkies do the same movie in the same week as each other. And I'm OK with that

I was in rehab, and we watched this movie almost every week for like a month.

Then staff banned singing and adding "aca" to things, because a group formed called "The Aca-holics"

It became like a whole thing, once the staff got involved it stopped being an excuse to sing badly and loudly with a pun for a name, and became this form of resistant

I saw this kid (I mean we were like 16-17 at the time) get into a full on screaming match with a staff member about they how they "Couldn't take my aca-freedom" He wasn't making a joke or reference, he was just in such full on rage mode that I guess the only thing his brain could produce was Braveheart with a splash of Pitch Perfect.

And that is the true story, which I don't feel comfortable sharing with anyone I know in real life about why a 20 something guy who you would cross the street to avoid knows all the words to all the songs in this movie, and will always, always always, sing along to Titanium when he hears it as loud as possible.

I know this is the internet so everyone's gonna assume that I'm just lying, but I swear on my life. I honestly doubt anyone will read this and it's the only reason I was so honest.

I love the trilogy Pitch Perfect but this Honest Trailer is on point.

I love how Anna Kendrick's character's entire motivation is that she specifically aspires to be a mashup producer. I presume the screenplay for Pitch Perfect was written in 2008-2010 while the mashup genre was still very popular. But by the time the movie was released in 2012, the mashup fad had died out and as a result her character motivation already felt hilariously dated.
