I honestly must say: this year 2021 in September, I arrived in the US, OR, PDX September the 5th 2001 as an Student from abroad, I like very much your signification for foreign pupils US Allien, it will be the 20th anniversairy that I was by you folks.
Portland is still in my deepest heart a beloved georgeous City, I also visited beside PDX, beautiful Seattle and WA State, CA San Francisco and Los Angeles, which is honestly in interresting City, but not beautiful, San Diego is very nice, and Yosemite National Park and on the East Coast unfortunatly only in NYC the two International Airports JFK and Newark NJ, I deeply realy hope if that f...bullshit with Corona is over I really would love to visit NYC as well with the at the old times spirit for me my/our landsman Klaus Nomi Was as an unique "crazy" artist Countertenor and the beloved great Pop Painter Friend from Madonna "Keith Harring" who unfortunatly tragicalky dies in 1990 on Aids where I would love to See his paintings in Greenwich where there is a Galerie, where I think we all hope that Guggenheim Museum Met Museum, as well the Opera and Greenwich Village where are should be some unique small Galeries aternative are by the "HOPEFULLY exist and open, when I arrive from abroad by you guys in the US and directly from NYC to PDX.
PDX had at my time 2001-2003 a huge unique artestry scene!! It was just marvolous!!! I, and I Think and wish we all, hope deeply that it Returns back!!!
Which really breaks und bleed my heart extremly is, that PDX has such a huge problem with poverty, that tragecially many people lost their Flats or Houses, if I may say as an US Allien, dammit Trump, and even his wife, who is from our home Continent Europe, from Slovenia, Lublijana, that He even did not give a damm, neither her, that before Corona his goverment destroyed the whole Economy and Infrastruktur.
He did not give a damm about sozialising aid!!!
That really makes me personally cry, when I See the Trailers or Photos!!!
Corona gave the rest.
Where we come from and live in Germany, at least there is help, but if you are freelance, than you have a huge problem, a tiny tiny sozial aid, but that is how we say in German: it is a tiny rain drop on a Hot stone.
So you can see, in generally Europe, either EU States or none, like Switzerland or Norway and now UK, there will unfortunatly come as well a big crises
