Loved going here to Portland although it was during the pandemic. I made a short video on Downtown Portland but I didn't film 4 hours long lol. I don't have the strength to go through that!

I wish my country was this walkable. Oregon is my dream place to live in. Sure, there were issues too but I would kill to live in an overall peaceful city like this.

Nice Video, I miss my visits to Portland so having this play while working is almost as good as the real thing...I have walked many of the routes the camera took and it is just as nice as it is perceived. Thanks for the post!

I feel like i am belonging there! Every single thing fits. I am happy about all of things happened, even the things some will say "bad". Of course, not everybody is same and it is a big city, so there is a order and stuff, but i love pot is legal, bike is import, and the naked bike tour(these things shows the point of view of people to life). And physically, the buildings, lights(i am in love with the color of light, it is like gray+brown), quietness, weather(it is mostly rainy which is also great!). Flora(type of the trees), seasons(mostly autumn!). If i was god, i would create exactly this city. Love you, and hopefully see you, some day portland.

I've lived in PDX for 30 yrs. If I was going to write a book about Portland, it would be titled "Once upon a time in old Portland." This was once a city full of art and artists. Your barista is writing a screenplay and does fire dancing, your mailman is the bass player in a legendary underground band, the guy selling you cigarettes is a globally known graffiti artist. Etc..forever. Portland had culturally vital places unlike Anywhere else. NYC had CBGB, we had Satyricon. We came early to the table with microbrew and created a global beer revolution. People would never have to drink another PBR. We came to the table early with the best coffee. The art/craft of a good cup of coffee. Our coffee culture was coopted and sold throughout the world. Our cannabis culture same. Very successfully. Pre-Covid Portland, you could see live music on any night of the week. The city was stacked with talented musicians making world class music in every conceivable genre. There were many venues for whatever you were looking for. There were ALL AGES venues where young people could be a part of this, be inspired, express theirselves. We had First Thursday, when all of the downtown galleries had their monthly openings. We had LAST Thursday where all of the Outsider artists and misunderstood creative visionaries had a place to display their art and craft. I feel sorry for people who just recently moved here to our city of inaccessible meaninglessness condominiums. Our city of very nice restaurants that very few people can afford to ever eat at. Portland, the epicenter of social justice warriors and Antifa. "Progressive" politics, regressive mentality. People that once made Portland so amazing don't live here anymore. They cant afford to. This city is unrecognizable from the PDX of memory. This city is culturally barren, but the underground lives forever. Portland will continue to produce some of the world's best Heavy music, as well as underground hip-hop, and punk rock. Writers will write. Creatives will create, but right now, nobody is inspired by Portland. Proud of Portland. We are embarrassed by the conduct of our Citizens. Our city government. Downtown Portland was a sick sorry mess before 100 straight days of street violence chaos. Old town was/is full to spilling with mentally ill drug addicts. People openly injecting drugs on public sidewalks, smoking crack like cigarettes, shameless acts of prostitution happening in businesses doorways. This is 7am on a Tuesday. Every city has problems and I have seen many cities all over the world and Old Town PDX is worse than some third world situations I have seen... and smelled. I did not watch the entire 4 hour video because... its FOUR HOURS, but what I did see only made me long for a place and a time that no longer exists. PDX R.I.P.
