In the end, Anya found out who she really was and found her family; Dimitri learns love and honesty is more important than money; Vlad and Sophie start a relationship and stayed together in Paris; Dowager Empress Marie found the happiness she never felt since the Russian Revolution; and Bartok, freed of Rasputin’s grasp, has found love of his own. What’s more important is Anya forgave Dimitri for lying to her and elopes with him, for if it wasn’t for him, she would never have reached Paris and found her family.

I love this move saw it summer after I graduated high school. 1997 was a wonderful summer. My grandma always called me a hopeless romantic. I dreamed of meeting my own princess in 2007 I found her. We just celebrated 15 years together This July 3 and 11 years married September 24th love you baby forever.

I know some people complain about the historical inaccuracies of this film. But I think one way to look at it is to look at it the same way as Once Upon a Time…In Hollywood.

At the end of the film, Cliff and Rick were able to kill all of the Manson followers, inadvertently saving Sharon Tate and her baby’s life. We all know it didn’t happen that way in real life, but we still appreciate what Quentin Tarantino did because it’s what we wanted to happen in real life. Maybe in some alternate universe, Sharon Tate and her baby did live that night.

It’s the same with Anastasia, we wish the Romanovs received a better fate than they did in real life and while it can never be the case, it’s a film like this that gives us that glimmer of hope.

At the end of the day, both Anastasia and OUATIH are fairy tale films. And sometimes we need those in life to make ourselves feel better.

Even if it’s for a moment.

(A strange comparison, I know, but it’s the film that came to mind. 😅)

I've watched this movie many times and I still love it just like the first time I saw it. The part where Dimitri lifted Anya and spun her around, I've always always fantasized about that. It's just so romantic and endearing to see them both being finally happy.

It's almost the 25th Anniversary since the release of this movie. I really hope and pray Disney will announce Anastasia as an official Disney princess. I'd be over the moon when that happens.
