Muy lindo trabajo Sr. Felicitaciones. Me gustó que dejara esas partes en la hoja sin devastar, muestran el paso del tiempo y quedan muy bien.

If you de-rust the blade with a wire wheel, electrolysis, vinegar or acid, your sandpaper belts will last longer and not clog up with all that loose stuff. Also, if you flatten the edge, it should be able to hit all the cutting surface of the board, instead of leaving a high spot in the middle. Good to see the knife kept alive.

Nice job. Is there a particular reason why knife bevels are often ground with the edge pointing up (when the belt is going downwards)?

I like the way you left some of that dark pitting and then polished around it, gives it a cool rugged contrast

Soak it in vinagar, overnight. Before you do anything else, it will save you a lot of time.

I like leaving the pitting. It would have looked totally different if it were sanded completely new.

Cool knife! I remember my grandfather had one like that. I bet it could be a handy camp knife chopper

So it’s just epoxy holding the grip on? No pin or mechanical connection?

You should have ground the edge straight first

Looks like a tool made for making wood shingles by hand

im pretty sure you could have put that in a vinegar bath for about 24 hours and scrubbed most of the rust off with a wire brush.

Turned out great! What compound did you use to buff the wooden handle with and did you treat it with any oil?
