The 2023 US Open main draw runs from August 28 - September 10 in New York City at the USTA Billie Jean King National Tennis Center. The tournament takes place for the 143rd time and is the fourth and final Grand Slam of the year. Last year, Spain's Carlos Alcaraz and Poland's Iga Swiatek claimed the men's and women's singles titles. It was both players' first US Open title, with Alcaraz winning his first Grand Slam title and Swiatek winning her third Grand Slam title. Iga roundly subdues the course and movement of the rally in each step, steering the ball area by area on the pitch in order to dictate the point against Gavrilova. I am really proud of my favorite tennis competitor Iga Swiatek with her resolution, perseverance, tenacity and steadfastness.

If only she was born in a Western European country like England, France or Germany, she would've been on the cover of every magazine, invited to fashion shows and movie premieres as well as having a cameo roles in films and tv shows. Sometimes, the 'inability' of noticing her by CNN, BBC etc is getting a bit offensive. I had a motion capture / modeling experience and I remember when sending out my resume and headshots, everyone was very keen to work with me...until they saw my last name and assumed some preconceived notions about me. PS. You almost saw me as the face of Leon in those new Resident Evil games :)
