I think Jessica's flat strokes does give her an advantage assuming she keeps her errors down, which she did. That helped to make Iga's job more difficult and on this day she was not up to the challenge...

Jessica is so mentally sound and intelligent. She stands inside the baseline to eat up any short Swiatek serves and Iga was intimidated. It's one thing to have a strategy, but another altogether to execute. Brilliant job by Jessica.

Iga's service motion seemed super tight and tentative...she needed to dial it back a bit instead of going all or nothing on many of those points. Pegula is a formidable opponent that when focused, is capable of beating anyone on the women's tour. I'd really like to see her break through and win the whole enchilada!
