£37 pounds for fish & chips?!

At Kerridges Fish & Chips, a glitzy counter seafood restaurant at Harrods Dining Hall, the luxury department store and 1.1 million-square-foot tourist trap has conspired with Michelin-starred chef Tom Kerridge have conspired to ask an eye-watering 37 Great British pounds for its fish and chips.

So are they trolling those of us who are either not millionaires or did not aspire to live like one?

The simple fact is if they charged £20 or even £25 for the fish & chips, no one would notice. It is Harrods. Kerridge's chips are incredible. The fish is in fact prized market-fish caught from day-boats off the Cornish coast.

But the £37 assures them tabloid headlines, while raising the incredulity of mere peasants like me. Indeed, this video would not exist were it not for the obscene price.
