I tried to politely correct a person listing a Squier for sale on the interwebs. I even explained it would help people searching find his guitar. Dude was a total doosher in his reply. He said, "I sold my 'Squier'." Yeah, put quotes around it like I was wrong. That was the first/last time I tried to correct anyone on the webs.

I think part of the problem is autocorrect will change squier to squire. Oh and cymbals and symbols. lol I’ve seen that misspelled a lot on like Craigslist. You’d do good to search misspellings if you’re looking to buy something online.

Many years ago on eBay I used this to my advantage. However now the eBay search algorithm automatically includes squire results with squier searches.
