Setting Up Our Muscovy Breeding Pens! (Muscovy Duck House)

We are finally getting into peak egg laying season for our Muscovy duck flock and it's time to get these breeding pens setup so we can separate our two Muscovy drakes with the hens I have selected for them to give myself the best chance of producing the rare Muscovy colors I am hoping to hatch out this year.

my wife and i are enjoying your videos, we live in the northern lower peninsula (Cheboygan) we got 5 muscovy ducks last week; we put them in the barn, and the first night one of them disappeared. that was weird. the other 4 are doing fine, and i've contacted the breeder we got them from; to acquire 2 more hens. i wish i'd known about muscovy ducks years ago, we were/are trying to be self sufficient; and had a large herd of meat goats, my wife had a hard time eating goats we'd raised. i think muscovy ducks woulda been a better choice, they've replaced the goats for meat. i think my wife won't have a problem eating our ducks. what part of west michigan do you folks live on?

good morning ! Another person and myself both have similar problems with our Muscovy ducks. I bought 3 hens to go with a drake I had, and only 1 hen will mate with him. She just finally started laying 2 weeks ago, but the other 2 aren't laying, nor will the drake breed them. He and the laying female bully the other two badly. Any ideas on what might be going on ?
