I'm disabled. I have type 2 diabetes and I'm morbidly obese. I have neuropathy in my legs severe enough that it's hard for me to walk. I'm one of those people that's at the top of the list for possibly getting COVID because of my health. I haven't experienced the kind of attitudes these people have, but I'm also no longer able to work because of my disability. I can sympathize with them though. Nobody is expendable, nobody's life is worth less than anyone else's because they have a disease or disability.

You do yourself an absolute disservice when you translate people talking about the severity of a virus to "no one cares about me". The fact is people who were immunocompromised, elderly, and have various comorbidities are at the *front* *of* *the* *line* when it comes to vaccinations, boosters, and treatments. Most hospitals triage covid patients according to how severe the illness impacts them and their underlying conditions. I know being disabled sucks but pretending that people think you don't deserve to exist simply because they're asking about comorbidities online is kind of ridiculous. People are just doing their best to try and understand the virus.

Being disabled doesn't put someone at higher risk. My son is on the autism spectrum and he has an amazing immune system. Not all disabilities are the same and neither are their medical needs. Everyone, disabled or not, can and should be making decisions for themselves to the best of their ability. Anyone can get vaccinated but leave those alone who don't want vaccines.

I don't think I've ever heard anyone, even on the internet, say that people with disabilities are expendable.
