Learn how to make the BEST router templates, or copy jig, for use on a router table. This style of copy jig is safe and efficient when used in conjunction with adequate training and experience. It is my go to style of template when I need shape multiples of the same part such as the baby cot side slats as featured in this video, or back chair legs.

Happy New Year. Let's make 2018 a good one! Thanks for watching.

There are other benefits to this style of copy jig/router template, that were not discussed within this video. You get a cleaner cut because when locking the small lightweight work piece to a heavier jig with rubber stoppers, it dampens much of the vibration and bounce that can commonly occur when using the tracing template as demonstrated early in the video. Also given the fairly standard way of holding the jig via the toggle clamps, it promotes a consistent feed speed and downwards pressure for the duration of the cut.

Happy new year. Which double sided tape do you use? Is it available at bunnings or mitre10? Many thanks.
