Just a reminder that some SSDs DO NOT WORK in the PS3, whilst some might install firmware and be detected, they can either run really slowly or begin to degrade. Make sure you use a SSD that has DRAM and it's own internal TRIM functionality, since the PS3 never intended for a SSD upgrade or has these features.

HEN is supported on 4.90 firmware. Had to swap out my hdd just like you for an upgrade and accidentally updated the firmware and the system update both to 4.90. I got hfw up and running no problem
