Review: 2023 Toyota Supra (Manual) - Better than Z?

I try out the new 2023 Toyota Supra manual to find out if the manual transmission improves or worsens the Supra experience, along with seeing how it compares to the 2023 Nissan Z. Overall, they did a great job on the manual Supra, with well done gear ratios to make the car feel almost as quick as the automatic while also retaining everything that made the automatic Supra as entertaining as it was. For just a few thousand more than a comparable Nissan Z, which would you pick? And what do you think about the 2023 Supra manual? Huge thanks to Toyota for providing this opportunity!

Everyone saying it’s too late for a manual Supra is just plain stupid. Too late for what? Were you going to buy one two years ago but now your life is way too busy and you’re hosting too many pool parties in Malibu that you can’t possibly be bothered to go to a dealership? Or in two years has your wife spit out 8 kids and you’re stuck to the mini van life? People saying it’s too late have no clue what they are talking about and probably drive Corollas. There’s plenty of people like me that will buy one now that they have a manual

Good review. I just purchased the manual Supra, arriving in Dec. It will be the very first manual Supra in Singapore. I use action to save the manual and my support to Toyota.

Great review! I love that it finally has a manual transmission option. I too find the cupholder placement odd. Price-wise, even though they dropped the manual in the M40i, I would go for the BMW. For me it would be a better everyday driver.

Give us some color in the interiors in the non-limited editions. It’s the one think i hated about my bmw and vw, getting in the car was like stepping into a cave.

The manual definitely has the rear wheel spin and that gear ratio makes it easy but not that easy
