Playlist: Fluids made easy: 06- Fundamentals of potential flow theory

This is a talk on the simple combinations of the elementary potential flows, towards the practical applications of some simple fluid-structure interaction, as well as to provide the basic idea for more general problems of potential flows.
In the talk, we will show how the potential functions can be obtained for the uniform flows past a long bullet-like structure, and the uniform flows past a cylinder and a sphere. Also, we discuss the problems for more complicated structures in uniform flows, and these simple combinations of the elementary potential flows could inspire us to apply the elementary potential flows for practical problems.
In this talk, following contents are included:
1) Uniform flow past a source
2) Uniform flow past a 2D dipole
3) The fluid pressure and the pressure coefficient
4) Uniform flow past a 3D dipole
5) How we can solve the problem of a uniform flow past an arbitrary structure?

Very good explanation of the potential flow. I'll definitely share with my colleagues 👌 Good job professor!
