Oh yes. The 7” bath. My grandmother practiced this. She grew up during the depression & the War rations in the 40s explicitly said only x inches of water a day for bathing. Perhaps that’s why that fact followed her. She lived quite the long life!

The seven inches of bath water go back to the days of the London Blitz in WWII so as to maintain London’s water supply.

She did not only volunteer, she has actually successfully finished an appratenceship in car mechatronics, that is why she could do what she did. People always think she just stood by to give the team a high moral, wich isn't the case. She was badass.

She did the 7 inches of water, to save on water usage. Queen Elizabeth was the glue that held the Royal family together. She was an incredible woman.

Thank you. There was a story about her sneaking out to a street party at the end of WWII with her sister and she was unrecognised.

The amount of people in this comment section who don't actually know anything about British politics is really funny to me

What an amazing life. I don't agree with everything she's ever done, but she did her best and brought a great stability to the uk as far as from the perspective of an outsider looking in. As someone not from the UK, her always being queen no matter what was cool

Thanks Dr Youn...that was nice. When I was a very young soldier I was her car door opener at the Royal Tournament once. Not the most glamorous post I grant you, but as a young guy from the country I was very nervous I can tell you

My grandparents were married for 71 years. They were always holding hands. Ten children. Adorable.

When the war was on you had to draw a seven inch line around the bath 🛀. You only filled the bath to that line so you didn’t use too much water. Xx .

Dr. Youn, more related to your tik tok. She had flawless skin. Cheeky Prince Philip once joked that the Queen’s ‘flawless’ complexion is ‘like that all over’🤣🤣🤣

My grandmother was born in the United states, grew up in the great depression, and also practiced the 7-in worth of bath water. Now I know why.

I loved her. I've been crying on and off for the last couple of days. I respect her, as an American and a woman.

The 7" of water was the norm. - My Deepest Condolences to Her Majesty's family and to the people of the United Kingdom. She will be sorely missed.

More facts: None of the Royal family have showers as it's seen as something for the working class even though they're technically bathing in their own dirt lol. Her favourite colour is Blue and she hates beige and black which she rarely if ever wears them. She wakes up at 7:30am everyday and goes to bed at 11pm, no-one can eat dinner before her at 8pm and her 30 corgis are a lineage from a dog called Susan which was gifted on her 18th birthday. I had some more but it's long to type them all lol 😅. It feels weird knowing she's gone as when you say you're a Brit the Queen and tea and sometimes crumpets are brought up lol. I actually wish she lived longer like her mom.
The family don't have the best track record but the more I see about her the more down to earth and a great inspiration she seems. R.I.P Liz 🕊️

The water is because of World War II rationing, my dad did something similar and never broke the habit
