ChatGPT's new Advanced Voice Mode just started rolling out to a small group of alpha testers. I was lucky enough to get to try it—and here's what it was like.

I love how the AI at abt 6:25 gets from the subtle difference in pronounciation at the end of the sentence that your thought is finished and it may answer now. That's a social skill.

“Ramble mode” IS AMAZING! I currently hold the button down when I speak, but I also stop talking sometimes to make sure it’s getting what I say. Those mhmm’s are so cool. Thanks for the review. Can you do a video where you give it instructions to interrupt you if it has something important to interject? Kind of like talking to a friend

This is the best advance mode review I’ve seen yet. You are doing it right and really capturing the essence of why it’s amazing as opposed to some others who are just making videos of themselves barking random commands at it like, “dance computer!!”

Excellent demo! This is indeed a gamer changer for people like me surrounded by Koreans and, I’m not fluent in Korean. Everyday I wish I had this update to speak to our Korean Buddhist community. It’s much needed for me for practical reasons.

Great video. Thanks for showing us how the new voice mode works. Just wanted to mention that in the end of the video the sound has 2 tracks merging into 1. Maybe it can be fixed. Overall, great video.

so on point with the pressure, because you know that it's a machine that can be confused so you're acting accordingly, and not naturally like you'd talk to a real human, once these minor things improved, life won't be the same. I already imagining how I car travel around the country and sometimes talk with my car when I'm not listening to music. so many use cases
