After many years of research, the first generation of quantum computers is being developed around the world. However, when will we be able to scale them up and make them fault-tolerant? Once this is achieved, will there be enough use cases? Will the industry still be interested? Do we already know applications for the existing devices? What will be the winning platform to build them? These and many other questions will be addressed in the panel by a set of experts, who will also explain the current situation of quantum computing and its prospects for the next few years.

▶ About the Munich Quantum Stammtisch
The Quantum Stammtisch is a series of live panel discussions where we bring together experts in the field of quantum science. Just like at a traditional “Stammtisch”, our guests will cover the latest in quantum science and technology in an informal atmosphere.

This edition of the Quantum Stammtisch was held in person for the first time at the Munich Conference on Quantum Science and Technology (MCQST 2024).
