I'm in my 20's with high functioning autism, and recently was diagnosed with PNES, which I actually had when I was in middle school originally. My parents couldn't commute to the places to pursue diagnosing the seizures and it was left undiagnosed for over a decade, and people accused me of faking and called it a tantrum. Finally having a diagnosis that I waited over a decade for, really made a difference.

My son was put on medication for a few months he did not have seizures but then started having seizures so now we have to stop the medicine because of seizures. Can you tell me why the medicine is causing autism? I stopped all meds as of now.

I have 3 children the eldest and youngest have autism and epilepsy. Both were controlled but recently the eldest has been waking with seizures that can last longer than an hour. When the seizures stop he just jumps up and continues with his day.

My son is autistic and was allegic to dairy, citrus fruits and tomatoes. He doesnt like potatoes, bread or pasta so eats mainly meat, veg and fruit.
Recently I introduced dairy into his diet by way of biscuits and cakes so small cooked dairy to increase dairy intake. He had a seizure where he felt scared and headache then unconscious and stiff. No shaking I dont think but incontient.
Had a second one on the way to hospital with eyes rolling and lips blue and semi concious and threw up.
Wondering now if I had him on a keto diet without realising?!
Maybe I should push for EEG?

He is taking valpro acid 3 time at day and 2 weeks ago the put another medicine call topiramate 25 mg .

My son of almost 5years is taking valporat (depakote) before Hé was showing sign of autism like not looking in eyes with when communicating. But he is going better. We also try to avoid maximum sugar and try some keto diet food. However he is facing problem of communication. There is any suggestion or tips exercice to improve it?
