The BEST TV of 2023? LG G3 MLA OLED Evo TV Review - COMPARED to Samsung S95C & QN95C

The G3 is the flagship 4K model from LG for 2023 and it features for the first time Micro Lens Array MLA technology which is a layer of billions of micrometre-sized convex lenses fixed to the pixels that capture and direct light usually lost within a traditional OLED panel and redirects this towards the viewer.

By redirecting this light towards the viewer, LG has boosted brightness and viewing angle stability enormously. This is married to the Brightness Booster Pro processing that uses a brightness-enhancing algorithm, which improves screen brightness and colour by analysing and adjusting the brightness of each scene in real-time and adding more specular details and much better just above-black detail to enhance HDR performance.

Both the G3 and the S95C are wonderfully good TVs. Anyone saying that one crushes the other is either a fanboy or someone validated their purchase. No TV is perfect, and I personally find it easier to live with the problems of the S95C, than the G3. It’s why I bought it. But yes, these TVs really are the best sets ever made effectively. HDR looks just breathtaking

I have the Sony 65 A95L in my living room and a LG G3 55INCH in my bed room. I find the G3 even with HD on Looks more natural than the A95L . Trying to get the Sony correct Colour wise is a real task?. The G3 has a more natural clearer picture.

Brightness don't bother me iff I have to deal with blooming I'd rather darker tv no blooming I have the qn90b 55 inch and when I see blooming it annoys me as it destroys the picture I'll be going for the qn95c :)

Excuse me please 🙏, avforum I just saw both lg g3, and samsung s95c qd oled tv in store and after carefully and gently touching 😮both tvs panels I noticed that the lg g3, gets quite 🔥 hot, while samsung s95c remains cool 😎, should I be concerned that lg g3 was will suffer burn in??, thanks for your reply 👍

I was tempted to get the Qn95c with all the rave reviews and I have a bright room but your review has changed ny mind.

Hi Phil, I want to upgrade my "old" Panasonic TX-P46 G20 Plasma TV. it's still working, no problems at all with the screen. But which TV I should pick now: The LG G3 Evo or the Panasonic MZ980 ? Both 55" inch. Cause I don't have no more space on the wall. BTW: The LG G3 Evo 55" inch is now €1495 Euros in the Netherlands, Europe. You have always excellent reviews !
