Re: Zero is one of the most interesting isekai anime that has come out in the past few years. The story revolves around Natsuki Subaru being transported from Earth to a new world and he is granted one simple power: "Return By Death". Subaru must use this newfound power to save those he cares about, such as Emilia, Rem, Ram, Petra, Otto and Garfiel and more.

Who is Satella and why did she grant subaru this power? What is the motivation behind the witch cult which have members such as Petelguese the sin archbishop of sloth? These are some of the questions I'll tackle on this channel, I hope you enjoy it and most importantly also enjoy season 1 and season 2 of Re: zero and hopefully it does well enough to warrant a third season covering arc 5 (Season 3 re: zero).

I think Tappei changed the story because he knew the people of chaos flame are tough but wonders if they are stronger than those of the shinobi village.

I like how arc seven has given us a chance to see Subaru on his own or forming relationships with new people. It was getting to the point where the interactions with old cast were getting kinda predictable.

Am glad Tappei added new stuff into re zero cause right now we are learning a lot about the world of re zero cause we have only been seeing it from the perspective of Lugnica and I love the change of scenery as well as viewing different codes of conduct of other countries. So it's great that Tappei changes a few things but I would love to see how the original plan was.

Honestly... How can people say that an Arc is bad or boring when it isn't even done yet. Back then, people also said that the beginning parts of Arc 6 was also bad but look at it now. It's the best arc so far after it finished. People are quick to judge we're not even halfway in Arc 7.

So, help me understand: we have the most interesting arc so far, with new characters with unique powers so far, totally different value system, the premise regarding Al, a war in this and probably the next arc, we're probably only halfway through the journey into Volacchia and people dare to think the whole thing is boring? Remember guys this just like subaru author also gets character development the more he writes the more he learns and explore new possibilities or more interesting ideas to make story better and if your thinking did he plan something from beginning yes and no not everything only beginning and the end so don't worry to much and arc 7 is

I for one love arc 7 and consider it one of the best arcs in re zero cause it has great build up's and am sure it will be super good as it goes on. Arc 7 is awesome

Edit: This is all speculation, though...
I think Tappei answers questions with a bit of misdirection. I think he answers the questions from the perspective of the story as it is written and not always as it will be. Or perhaps the perspective of the Emilia part of the story and not the Subaru one. So he may have intended to take the Subaru to Vollachia all along but the characters in the story at the time literally had no reason to go there and so he answered the way he did. Or Emilia literally has no reason to go to other countries and so he answered the way he did. Either way, Subaru is in Vollachia now and this could be an excuse to travel to Kararagi before going back to Lugnica. Since relations between Vollachia and Lugnica are in a poor state, probably because of Julius' name being eaten, Subaru may have to return through Kararagi or recreate the treaty between Vollachia and Lugnica that was lost when Julius was erased. That could also mean Julius is the only one who can come and save Subaru... Julius may be the only one who can recreate the treaty... (O.o)

Tappei actually talked about it in a recent interview with him and Ootsuka, stating that he decided to take us to Vollachia because it would be a waste to not include many of the characters from Priscilla’s backstory in her arc (I’m paraphrasing ofc).
We also learned that the Shidrakian villagers were originally meant to be a a mob of unnamed npcs, but it changed after Ootsuka drew them out, which made Tappei want to not waste their designs by making them into a mob.

I'm glad about arc 7 because we get to see Subaru shine a lot without relying on the help of others, usually he'd just lay his plans for people to follow but this time he's been doing a lot of things like the fight with El Gina, getting out of the camp, using the cross dressing bit from what he learned, he's been so active in them that it feels refreshing to see him shine without his usual group

I can't believe subaru got respectful image throughout the nation, got strong spirit and got allies so Tappie went ahead and took it all away. As if it that wasn't enough, when he finally getting along with the new allies, Tappie took away Subaru's maturity then nerfed i was pretty sure arc 6 would be pinnacle of sufferings for subaru but damn

I feel the power scaling in arc 7 is very different, even for re zero. Like what strength means and how it is measured in fights and who is strong. Almost feels like a non action based fictions power scaling system.


Its not exactly what I expected of vollachia where power is all but I like it!!
