When I was 18 and working at a smalltown bank in New York, I took a cab one day in the winter. It was cold, wet and slushy. The driver was going to drive around the block (not the big ones in NYC) to let me out at the front door. I stopped him where we were, across the street and said there was fine. He turned to me and nicely said, "Never sell yourself short." He asked if we could take the one minute to go around. I agreed.
Decades later, sometimes I still trudge through the proverbial snow, but in others, I hear his words and take better care of myself.
Thank you, Mel and Dr. Conti.

To everyone who has been traumatized, I want you to know you are loved, you are gifted and most of all you are precious! It has taken me two decades to get to where I am now with my mental health and I have a ways to go but it has absolutely been worth the journey! Thank you Mel Robbins and Dr. Conti for all you do! Blessings of love and light to all!

... "the little voice that is in our head is tied to the weight from past trauma" or pain; that voice is showing up in our present, over and over. In thoughts, feelings, actions, reactions and decisions. So looking at it now can make a big difference because we can gain new perspectives and understanding and transform our self talk.
Thank you Mel Robbins & Paul Conti!

This is so helpful! I'm the youngest of 4. I'm hosting both my sister and one of my brothers at the same time in January. I'm already feeling the anxiety coming up. I feel judged, lacking, unworthy and unheard/misunderstood. I'm a grown woman with many accomplishments and I don't need their approval (so say I). I feel like if everything isn't perfect for them, I will be judged and found lacking. I want to be a generous and gracious host to them. Most of all, I want to not feel anxious, judged and unheard. Its not even really coming from them, it's coming from me. Thank you!!

I personally loved this podcast. I felt it really validated how that 'inner negative voice' can permeate all aspects of life and can also create a self fulfilling prophecy. I love how Dr Conti spoke about the power of therapy /supportive others or self practices to really look at that dialogue, figure out where it came from and how to let go of it... Or pop up the inner brolly. I feel privelaged to help people become free of those past traumatising ties and to see the wonderful person they are, as I too have been helped and supported to do the same. We're all in the soup together and I love the way Mel signs off with 'if nobody else told you today, I love you'... For me there's something so warm and nurturing to hear that. Thank you Mel Robbins, Dr Conti and all you wonderful souls out there 🌻💛

Thanks!
I can’t even express how grateful I am to have found you and how you’ve helped me already and I need a lot more help but thank you for helping me get on the road to starting to be better to myself. It’s a difficult one for me as anyone would be, but I just wanna thank you from the bottom of my heart .

This episode was exactly what I needed and came at the perfect time to hear it. I will be listening to this one a few times to ensure I absorb everything deeply. The last minute there where you are saying I love you and I believe in you, is so helpful in this moment to the point I teared up because I needed to hear that from someone. Thank you Mel - you are the best!!!! I love you!!!! Thank you!!!
