Learn how to install over-the-air software updates so your Model S+X can continue to get better over time.

There is a neat trick to updating the car. If you click 'Install Now' a 2:00 minute timer begins and the update will begin installing after the timer reaches 0. But if you tap the timer 3 times the update will begin immediately.

Just remember that you cannot use the car while an update is being installed! You can still open the doors and glove box but the car cannot be put into drive or reverse so it is always best to install when you definately know you are not going to be using it for at least 2 hours even though the update gets completed in about 25-30 minutes in most of the updates my Model S has gotten.
