I have this exact setup where I back my car into the garage. Upon arriving home it works perfectly. What they are not showing is when the car leave the door doesn't shut automaticly. In fact with the car pointing away from the garage the manual button seldom works either. I need to use the opener, open the window point it over the roof back at the garage to get the door to close. When I drive into the garage front first and back out it works. I don't believe they have an emitter at the rear of the car. Every time I call support I get the run around, call homelink, call Tesla, Call the garage door company.

Maybe you could do park assist where you can preset a parking course and spot and you get the car within so many feet of the start point to activate it.
