Neeraj Chopra secured a silver medal at the Olympics with an 89.45-metre throw, his season best. This throw surpassed his gold-winning performance in Tokyo but was not enough to clinch gold this time. Arshad Nadeem set an Olympic record by crossing the 90-metre mark twice. Neeraj's father expressed happiness over his son's achievement. Celebrations are planned in Neeraj's village, Khandra, where churma will be served to both Neeraj and Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
