I have 2 old cars, a 2002 and a 2006 Honda's and they run just fine. Both paid for in cash, therefore no need to borrow money to buy a newer expensive car.

I paid off my car in May. I had a 5yr contract and paid it off in 3yrs and 10 months. When I paid it off, the dealership sent me an email asking did I want to sell it. Me: Heck No!!! I'm rolling this car until the wheels fall off. I'm loving not having a car note. 😎

Thanks! I'm new to the channel. I sold my 2015 car for 24k after 4 years I paid 25k. I took some of the money and brought a solid used car for 5k. Cars are selling so high that it just made sense to me. Thanks again though

If you are not paying cash for the car, you can't afford it. Shouldn't be taking a loan on a depreciating asset. I've slowly progressed to better vehicles, but I've driven beater $2000-5000 cars, I used to ride a 50cc scooter, before that I rode a bicycle. Never borrowed money for a vehicle. Never had a new car either.

Credit helps sell almost anything.
People will spend twice as much when using credit verses cash.
Reliable cars can be found for cheap, with a little research, common sense, and patience.

You gave good advice to people about the percentage of your income that should go to a car payment. I completely agree.

I feel sorry for no one spending over 400 a month on a car payment, when you add insurance you pushing 700 a month...I'm paying 300 a month on my 2017 vehicle which I purchased new and I owe less than 12 000...I keep it in great condition and will be driving it until the wheels fall off.

I make 10k a month and refused to pay 400 a month

I am a small used car dealer and the Auction houses have tens of thousands of cars waiting to be sold. Allot that they run thru the auction are not selling because the banks are asking for to much money for the repos. Also, Avis and Hertz are running 2019-2021 cars thru the auction with 60, 000 plus miles and prices that are insance. 90% are not selling.

I took my unemployment money (lost my job pre-pandemic in December 19) and paid off my car. I’m loving not having a car payment and I’m going to drive it till the wheels fall off!
