Tesla Model X Crash Aftermath!

Autopilot was not in use. Wife walked away with only a tiny scratch on her finger. No concussion or injury. Automatic emergency braking may have lessened the impact, but without opening an investigation through Tesla we have no way of knowing.

Health and safety first. The car did a great job of what it was designed to do, keep passengers safe. It’s material and can be fixed. But I’m sure it’s hard to look at. So sorry.

Why do people always drive through red lights?! Just to save a few minutes? I always stop when it turns amber, sometimes I break really hard, but when there are people who are behind me or tailgating me, then I have to drive past, otherwise I would get rear ended. Hopefully your wife is doing fine and hopefully you will get a new car soon buddy! Things like this happen. I hope you have insurance. That will be great! :D

Safe car yes my wife ordered hers but looking at all those airbags I know the cost to replace them will equal the same cost of a brand new small size economy car just for the airbags.

Sorry to hear about the accident. Luckily it was pretty light damage and you'd expect to be able to open the doors at this level of damage and far beyond in any car

I'm glad she's safe, what did the insurance say are they going to repaired the car given it was just the crumple zone and cosmetic bits such as air bags and a few panels or is it more serious than first looks?

So glad everyone is safe!! Still even me a total stranger looking at that car it makes me sad but it did a great job. Also can’t imagine what the other driver feels like when he realized he crashed the most expensive Tesla out there.

Hey, really happy that shes ok. Don't worry about your car, it does look to be totalled but your wife's safety is over everything. I recommend to give the saved dashcam footage from the tesla to the police and you insurance company.

Both of the Tesla side airbag deploy if a frontal offset or a side impact I don’t know why but only the front deploys on frontal not offset offset deploys all the airbags
