The expression he gave Luke when he questioned as to how his father “died” is heartbreaking, he remembered.

I don't think I've seen, in any media, two actors playing the same character that work together so well. When I see Ewan or Alec, I think "Obi-Wan." Not "as he was in the prequels, " or "in the OT, " just Obi-Wan. The same person, years apart. And I think it speaks to just how well these two actors play their parts, especially Alec Guinness' reactions to movies that didn't exist yet.

Sir Alec's acting in this scene was superb. His stare made him believable as a man with PTSD. Added with scenes from the prequel, made it more compelling.
