Bread pudding is delicious! Every once in a while I make a breakfast bread pudding. I use maple syrup to sweeten it with some pecans, bacon and raisins mixed in. Once it has set, I brush some maple syrup on top and put it back in the oven for a few minutes. My wife and kids love it. Also it has been WAY too long since I've had chicken fried steak.

Great video. Love the clip from Tenet movie especially. Thanks for throwing in the Acadian/Cajun history reference. (Calling the horrific Expulsion of the Acadians, or Le Grand Derangement, as a "forced relocation" is a good call on staying neutral and keeping it light. It is still a touchy subject here in the Maritime Provinces.)
I wonder if Chicken and Dumplings has a similar origin to the Beignets. Acadians still make Chicken Fricot (Pronounced "frrree-ko, roll those r's), a thick soup made with leftover chicken, veggies, dumplings and summer savoury. The latter is a popular herb in Acadian cooking as it was available locally back in the early days of French colonization. And everyone knows that mameres (grandmothers) make the best dumplings and the best fricot. I'm not Acadian by birth, but fricot is comfort food for sure.
And the Quebec chain St. Hubert's makes the best chicken pot pie, by the way.

When I was visiting my sister in New Orleans, my family and I made sure to go to Cafe Du Monde for their Beignets. It was out of this world and incredibly addictive. I could not get enough of them, they were that terrific. And I’m not someone who has a sweet tooth. If you’ve never had them, you don’t know what you’re missing. If there’s a place near me (I live in New York) that makes them, I’d love to go there and have some.

Oh, man, BabbleTop, you really did it today! I've never become so hungry from watching a video before! Jeez!!
Never tried the gizzards, but would happily give it a try. (We eat a lot of unusual organs here in Taiwan, so I'm sure I would love that.) Chicken and dumplings? A Kentucky friend shared his with me once. Very good. My "Mom's recipe beef stew" that I make often has the same dumpling thing going on, so I get the idea. It's even better when warmed up the next day. Boiled peanuts? In Taiwan, we have steamed peanuts that vendors all say comes from a place called Bak Gang. Nobody eats the shell, but they're easy to split open and eat the peanuts. My Mom makes the best chicken pot pie ever. I think she puts a can of Campbell's cream of mushroom soup in there. It really holds the heat, though, so you need to be careful not to burn your mouth. About 15 years ago, there was a western restaurant in Taipei City that had biscuits and gravy, but renamed it "sh*t on a shingle" at it was traditionally called. I've scoured Google Maps and can't find the place anymore, but they put some kind of dried beef in the sauce. It was awesome. Chitlin's and Brunswick stew? Bring them on!!!

Chester's fried Chicken which is found inside of some Love's truck stops around the US they cook chicken gizzards and they are delicious... Chester's Cooks them to order so they're fresh when you get them and they're worth it!
