The Mummy recasting should be number 1 because brendan fraser and rachel weisz have the best chemistry ever

Filling Jodie Foster's shoes for Hannibal was going to be impossible for anyone taking on the role. But I think Julianne Moore did just fine with it.

Not just George Clooney but pretty much everyone else in the Batman & Robin movie. Except for Michael Gough as Alfred.

Evelyn's recasting in the Mummy series really is a landmark failure. Especially when people talk about great Female heroes in film with imo Rachel Weisz Evelyn standing up there with Ripley and Sarah Conner.
I think another trope that I think this current generation is tired of is seeing Couples formed in the original film are broken up in the sequel and Rick and Evelyn's relationship actually growing stronger in the Mummy Returns deserved more credit.

Nope. Jane Krakowski as Betty Rubble is a massive upgrade from Rosie O'Donnell.

Recasting can be a hit or miss depending on how the new actor pull off the character the old one used to play as, and how good the script would be when written and executed.

Lazenby didn't do another Bond film, not because of poor reception, but because his agent at the time convinced him Bond was a dying franchise and He would be better off doing other things.

The Queen of the Damned recast was so bad that I didn't even know it was a sequel to
interview with a vampire
Until years later

Star Trek III: Robin Curtis replacing Kirstie Ally as Lt. Savvik. They also changed her character to make her 100% Vulcan, while the Star Trek II novelization said she was half-Romulan, hence her more emotional moments. (She also briefly appears in Star Trek IV, and again the novelization mentions she is pregnant with Spock's kid... but that's never brought up again.)

Had no idea a couple of these movies were part of a franchise lol. I looked at Sum of All Fears and Queen of the Damned as stand-alones

The Matrix Resurrection the moment when you realise John Wick, Black Manta, and The Toymaker and Roug cross paths.

I'm okay with Emilia Clarke as Sarah Connor, but I think Lena Headey is the closest that we have to Linda Hamilton on nailing the character.

Admittedly, I have not seen The Flash (2023), but then again, hardly anyone has.

Anywho, where Barry said, "You're not Batman, " to George Clooney is very worthy of Deadpool and Wolverine (2024).

I'm surprised Mads Mikkelson replacing Johnny Depp as Grindelwald in the Fantastic Beasts movies didn't make this list
