10 Awful Characters Who Nearly Ruined Awesome Movies

2 awful choices in this list. David was absolutely necessary for Shaun of the Dead. As was Denethor for LOTR.

Denethor was portrayed true to his character from the books in the film .He was never meant to be a villain like Sauron nor a hero like Aragorn .He was a deeply disturbed individual who had lost hope .I think his character was quite interesting myself .This isn't a books versus the films issue either both are amazing in their own way .I do agree with most of this list but not Denethor or the Ewoks .They are not harmless teddy bears by any stretch of the imagination. .You might actually want to research characters from both Middle Earth and the Star Wars universe before voicing an opinion on either of these much loved characters being incorrect on how they are portrayed in films .You must be wanting to anger all the fan boys and girls out there with Batman, Marvel, X men, LOTR, Star Wars and Shaun of the Dead being on this list .

Robbie from the War of the Worlds was the most annoying character who literally almost got them killed at every step in the movie. And his sister is a perfect example of what happens to kids when a war shows up at their doorstep.

Dude.. seriously with Dwayne Robinson (Die Hard)?? He's the comic relief. He's nearly perfect in the role. He's an absolute tool and it works 100%.
I mean this line alone "We're gonna need some more FBI guys, I guess. " Perfection, especially his delivery. He didn't ruin that movie, that character helped build that movie into the classic it is.

David is not an awful character that almost ruins the film. He's a well written character who you're meant to hate, as his role is to serve as Shaun's antagonist.

The idea that he nearly ruined the film is nonsense, it's the removal of his character that would harm the film, not his inclusion.

Ill thought out video title with some poorly thought out entries in it. There's a difference between a character we're meant to dislike and a character who ruins a film.

Some of these are just silly.

Dwayne Robinson was awful, but he was meant to be. He didn't bring the film down at all, and actually brought some really funny moments when other characters were dunking on him.

And Denethor was brilliant - a disturbing and tragic character played beautifully by John Noble.

While Emma frost was underutilized I don't feel like she almost ruined the movie, she wasn't nearly that bad.

Never thought Jones as Frost was terrible. She was just underused and subdued. Not nearly bad enough to ruin an entire film
