Yes, Evangelion is a very old show, it was originally animated in 1995 and it has gorgeous animation for it's time. One of the most revolutionary animes. Brought a lot of traffic to anime and manga.

Fun fact, Cruel Angel's Thesis (Evangelion's opening) is considered by the nation of Japan to be one of it's national treasures.

The singer who sang it to was a full grown woman at the time, but asked to adopt a more youthful voice when singing this and really struggled to do so given how fast paced the song is.

Those screaming lines in Vinland Saga OP was exactly what the MC felt throughout the show. Those last words was full blown intense.

The vocalist's name in the HxH OP is Ono Masatoshi, he's in a power metal band called Galneryus, they also did one of the endings to HxH and it's amazing also.

the hunter x hunter opening is so good they pretty much never changed it, they had it throughout the shows couple hundred episode run in various forms

From how happy HunterxHunter's theme is you'd never think it tackles some of the most dark and realist emotional storylines ever put to anime. i will never be able to forget the chimera ant arc, it doesn't even feel like anime it's so different.

As someone who doesn't watch anime but is huge into Japanese music it's really weird not to have the bands mentioned in the description, and seeing so few people talking about them in the comments_so, just in case someone is interested and finds this comment:

Anime tracks are usually written by well known bands and solo artists. It's a two way promotion thing - at the beginning the bands promote the [new] anime and once it gets popular the anime promotes the bands.

Really love Neon Genesis Evangelion’s show and opening. Considered a classic and it’s from the 90’s.
