I basically took the same route you did a few months back. Very happy with the performance when games actually utilize SLI. The problem is there are a few that don't use it. Also there are certain features that don't work in SLI that I like .. such as Anti-Aliasing Filmic.

your sli is not working. I get like 80 fps with hair works with dual 970s
