Super excited to see all this in trunk! In the meantime, Blender users can get better IK tools from the FreeIK addon, and onion skinning from the Onion Skin Tools addon.

A ton of big talk regarding Rigging. But character animation in Blender is in the dark ages compared to Maya + animBot.

If the Blender team want to get animation up to speed, they'll hit the Graph Editor hard, and match animBot functionality and innovate from there. There are already rigging and anim layer add-ons.

Make it easier to animate in the graph editor!

Physic based animation is coming to Houdini next year, which is the future of animation as far as I am concerned, can't wait to see what it will look like!

The BI is projecting 3 years to try and catch up with other software, and we all know that the BI has a good record with keeping with their projections, right! 😉
