I know exactly what you mean. I had plenty of imaginary friends growing up. Now I just talk to myself and have full blown conversations with myself.

I didn’t really have imaginary friends, I just imagined my real life friends were always with me and I would talk to them out loud instead of in my head and to make myself look less crazy, I told my family it was an imaginary friend named bob 😂
I still do this just more in my head than out loud unless I’m by myself

I had an imaginary friend that (for some reason) I named Bottlebrush. She was my main imaginary friend. When I told my cousin about her, my cousin said that I had to get rid of her because my aunty was allergic to bottlebrush trees. I was so confused but I never talked to Bottlebrush again. :(
