I used to work as a machinist during the 90s and worked on many different machines and the ones that impressed me the most were the 6 axis milling machines.

The maintenance on that machine.... good god...

Sitting in the back of a Kitamura for 4 days just to change a drawbar is bad enough (there were complications with its re-installation) with a single axis...

There are at least 4 sets of hydraulic clamps inside that thing - I can't imagine the amount of downtime needed just to perform the simplest of repairs.

Definitely makes me happy to see a workspace that hasn't been abused and neglected though... good on you guys, and thanks for sharing!
