I'm currently browsing to buy our first MH. Ideally would like one with an end lounge as it offers more space for relaxation, I'm happy making a bed up every night.

Island bed all day long …. Great area to go to in the daytime as well if you fancy a chill out and a bit of privacy ( with a tv ! )

I think the other factor is smallness and ease of driving and parking and largeness and more comfort. Either way seems to compromise the other way a little bit.

Great video, I could have used this 4 years ago when I made a mistake buying my first van.

Excellent demo of options, well done. Personally I would prefer a bedroom with an island bed, so it's a closed off separate room that I don't have to make up every day. Looking forward to your next vid, kitchens maybe, or showers?

Good info but really want a rear lounge with cab drop down and an electric bed over a rear lounge.

The way space is used is important not just on motorhomes but on boats too, I mention boats because space is something that has to work or you won’t get the best out of it. Design can be a challenge but sometimes people come up with simple but effective solutions, a sliding door can be handy to have and takes up little space. There’s no easy solution but it’s probably fair to say go with what works for you, don’t let a salesman or woman try to persuade you that you should have something if it doesn’t work for you. Spend a bit of time deciding what your priorities are and go from there, as a customer you can always go to another dealer and ask what can they do for you? A good dealer will listen to you and explain what options you have. It’s worth checking to see what you can drive on your existing licence and if your insurance will be sufficient too. Take your time, have a few questions written down and work through to see if the end result is what you really want. Yes you can change things in time but the experience will be something build on.

Personally I dislike the living area concentrated close up to the cab. Prefer more open and spacious areas. Apart from a drop down bed, do these designers ever think where you store the bedding? This is why I like over head cab just to use for storage for bedding, chairs etc. enjoyed your video!

I have a Dethleffs Alpa i6820 7.5m, with an end lounge. And a electric drop down bed that you fold the drivers and passenger seat forwards and bed is just 3 small step up into, You can leave the bed made up, it takes last than 2 minutes lower/ rise. Prefect lay out for us. Why use up living space for a fixed bed?

Thank you for this review. We're currently looking for our first MH. We've decided on the Bailey Adamo. However the 6m one doesn't have a garage but the 6.99 one does. Any thoughts on whether a large garage is a necessity.

That can not be an island bed . You can go completely around an island . Surely that is a peninsular bed.
That means Wales is an Island . Just my take on it.

The extortionate prices now being ask by the Trade is crippling seconhand sales of Motorhomes in the private market.
There is absolutely no evidence to justify the average £10K increase to the secondhand Van.
