I love how you insert vertical interest throughout the garden Jim....to hell with the "rules" I say. Your backyard is amazing at this time of the year. Your cast iron plant looks sooo healthy and lush. Thanks for sharing!

Really nice Jim. I recommend your channel to all my garden friends. Experience, common since, not pushing plants to sell, frugal, and just a nice man. Your garden has come along way in a short time. I moved into a new place in OKC about the same time you did and really appreciate your advice to us!

I love Pineapple sage, a red pineapple scented edible herb with bright red flowers is getting going and feeding hummingbirds and bees in fall, spreads and comes back every year zone 8.

What a great garden. So nice to see how things come along seasonally. Would love to see updates on your neighbors shady gardens that you showcased earlier this year.

I think your landscape is a combination botanic encyclopedia and trials! Much more informative than clown college and just as entertaining! Plant on Sir!

Jim are you being a smart ass about the clown college thinglol? I love your personality that has edged through over the last couple of years that I have been watching!! Love your yard!! I have picked up so many tips. We have 3 all on north side of house of course one gets east side and one in middle gets north and one gets west . They all do well. Can’t really see much difference in growth. It is strange because even though my back yard is north it gets as much sun as front which is south because of those big oaks probably.

I love my Mona plectranthus! It was in a lone untagged small pot at the nursery and I didn't know what it was but had to have it. I love it for the leaves alone. It has grown in a not very big pot to a huge 3-4 foot plant full of purple blooms. I'm hoping to keep over in a protected environment for next year or to get starts from it.

Loving this Fall garden—fewer hot colors, with softer colors and strong foliage taking center stage. ❤️

Still beautiful after a long hot summer, which may not be over yet even with the cooler nights.

Angelonia still hopping with pollinators here, but the hyssop, salvia and speedwell are the most popular. Your garden canvas is nicely painted with the beauty of what you have chosen. Can’t wait to see what you do next! Thanks for sharing!
I got the Mona Purple this year. The bumble bees are loving those too. The blooms and leaves are just beautiful! That plant looks spectacular near bright green Anise (BananAppeal).

Jim, your yard is just a masterpiece whatever the season. I enjoyed this vid. That song during the Dahlia segment nearly brought me to tears. Beautiful. Have a nice weekend you 3. :)
